Message: Guardian Angels

There are many hardships we all must face

Before our time is done

But none so painful to the heart

As the loss of a cherished loved-one

So many times we feel the need

To ask the question, "why"?

Why did God take them from me

And make me say goodbye?

But they are not gone from our lives, you see

And so you have nothing to fear

For the love you hold within your heart

Will always keep them near.

From heaven above they'll watch over you

And make sure you are alright

For the love you gave them here on earth

Made their lives so very bright.

So dry your tears and heal your heart,

Take comfort in a friend,

For this, though very painful,

Is nowhere near the end.

Your loved-one you will see again

And together you shall be

But for now they're angels up in heaven

Watching over you and me.

M.R. 12/2002

Tyler will be missed by many. We are all praying and giving Tyler's family all the blessings in the world, and hoping everyone will get through this together.

Message: I really liked Tyler, and I really miss you. I felt really sad when I heard the news. I remember when I sat by you at the hockey game and I remember when I said I will come and check on you. I wish you were here.
Everybody was crying at the church and that made me very sad. Tyler, you taught me something, that you be nice to other people.

Love, your friend,

Message: Hi, my name is Eric. I never really knew Tyler all that well. I did get the misfortune of batting against him in a few baseball games though. I hated facing him just knowing that he was one of the best. Every time I'd step to the plate he always had his smirk showing. I remember one time specifically. He threw me his curveball and it looked like it was coming straight for my head. So I ducked out of the batter's box right as it was crossing the plate. I'll never forget the smile he had as he was running to the dugout. He came up to me after the game and just said "get it next time". That really stuck with me because not a lot of people would've said that. But he did. That's how I'll remember him.
Peace and God's Blessings,

~Eric Clapp

Message: I am a freshman student at NDSU and did not have any connections with Tyler at all. Yet, when I heard of his accident it made me almost go into tears right then and there. When I watched the news to hear more about it is said there was a web site...and when i visited it there had been 6602 people that have linked on. Its amazing and what a comfort it must be to know that there are that many people in this community that are praying for his family and friends and keeping all of you in their hearts. Its terrible that a thing like this would happen to what sounds like such a fun, loving man. Those of you that knew him are very lucky. I cant imagine the pain you are going through now but God Bless all of you and always remember he will always be with you!

Message: A couple years back, I drove out to Felton with my little Mazda protege with
Ryan Jasper. We went out there to drop something off for Ryan's brother. I
went against the will of my parents. It was a school night and I figured my
'rents would never find out and i could get back before it got too late.
Boy, was I in for a surprise. We were just leaving Felton and what
happens...the front axel of my car breaks. I was mortified!!! I didn't
know what to do and i was scared of the wrath of my dad. So, i
brainstormed...who do i know that could help me!! instantly tyler popped
into my head. his big bad truck would be perfect for hte job. So i called
him up and begged him to help me out. he said he would love to and then
asked where i was...i told him felton and he just laughed at me. in half an
hour he was out there with a huge chain and we attempted to tow my car.
since my little car is made of plastic we decided to not take any risks my
ruining it and didn't tow it. we emptied out the car and headed back. he
drove me all the way to my house, halfway to wahpeton, and made me feel so
much better about facing my dad. he told me not to worry and made me laugh.
i never forgot the kindness he showed me that night. i thanked him weeks
and weeks after. it wasn't even a thing for him. he loved to do that sort
of thing. i ended up not getting home until about midnight on a school
night. thank you tyler for helping me out so late at night!! i love you
forever!!

Message: I did not know Tyler either, I am a graduate of the Class of 1979 from
North. I knew his parents and graduated with his Uncle, John Oxton, along
with the parents of some the kids that he knew. Some of his teachers,
coaches and principals were also classmates of mine.

Although I live in Washington State, my heart has always remained in Fargo.

I am so very sadden by this tragedy that has effected my hometown and so
many people that I knew and still know. May God keep you in his Grace. I
will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

I would like to say "Thank You" to Tyler, he reminds me everyday now to say
"I love you" to my own two children and loved ones.

"Even your darkest hour is only sixty minutes long"

Sincerely,

Jodee Thompson-Troseth

Message: Hi, I got to know Ty when he was a freshman I was a Junior through
baseball. We would always have something to heckle each other about when we
had practice together or we would throw the occasional tennis ball when one
of us wasn't looking. Then we got to play on the same team in sinor babe
ruth, and that's when we really had the most fun giving eachother a hard time
knowing that it was all in good fun. I will always remember the last time I
was around him was when we were in Minneapolis last year for baseball, we
were at the Hotel in the pool area pushing each other in when we were dressed
and how you used your wet sweatpants to get Coach Fichner's kids wet. He
always knew how to make the best out of a situation without going out of line
witch was what made him so awesome. My thoughts are with the Eicholtz family
I will see you soon enough buddy peace.

Scott Winjum

Message: There were a few summers where me and my girlfriends
hung out wtih Tyler, Chatam, Jaden and the boys. At
night we'd go swimming, and run around and be goofy.
Amongst all the crazy antics I always seemed to get
left behind, and when my girls were no where in sight
he would give me a ride home. Tyler you're such a
doll. I pray for you friends, Cara and Steve, Lisa and
your little sister all the time. You're the best! I
miss you.

Peace. And thanks for the ride.

Message: I met Tyler in about fourth grade during Wings at
Hope Lutheran Church. I will always remember him
running around with Nick, Ryan, and the other boys
always smiling and getting into trouble. I also
remember going snowmobling with Tyler and Matt Aukland
in ninth grade. We rode to Georgetown and had a
pizza. That day was one of the only days we did not
fight. When I was going out with Matt, Tyler and I
constantly fought, but after that day it was better;
we got along and were friends.
This year I was blessed to have Tyler in two of my
classes, Aerobics and Ceramics. He didn't always work
hard in aerobics but he always made us laugh. And in
ceramics, Mr. Bachmier loved him. Tyler made a lot of
awesome pieces and his family proudly displays them in
their home. Those classes were so great with Tyler
because he was always a joy to be around. If you were
having a bad day he always made you smile and laugh.
I can't explain what he did to people, but everyone
was just in a better mood when he came around. I will
dearly miss him and the art room will be empty with
out him. I love you Tyler and will miss you greatly.

Love always,
Kris Jacobs
